Ken Petretti joined the Auxiliary in August 2005 as a member of Flotilla 10-20. Ken, who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, as well as an Associate degree from the Ridgewood School of Art and Design, received an honorable discharge after six years of service with the US Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR). After graduating from training in Cape May, NJ, where he served in the USCG Training Center Band, Ken was stationed at Base Miami Beach, FL, 40 foot boat crew and Office of the Captain, USCG Base Miami Beach and then at Governor's Island, NY, USCG Public Affairs. After working on staff for several large corporations including ABC Television Network, Public Relations and Bantam Books, Promotion/Advertising/Marketing, Ken created his own company. KP Productions, LLC which is entering its nineteenth year creating video and print digital media presentations for large corporate clients, including Disney, ABC, Random House, Janome America and many others.
Ken was named 10-20s first New Auxiliarist of the Year for 2006 and is Air Crew and Boat Crew qualified.
Ken resides in Maywood with his wife and four daughters.
