Meeting Minutes
The minutes of the most recent Flotilla meeting will be posted here for the membership to read. The minutes
are posted here for your approval, and may not be read at the meeting. Please read the minutes over,
and if you note any discrepancies, contact the FSO-SR and VFC so that the minutes can be amended at
the next Flotilla meeting. Minutes for the current month and prior months will be available in PDF form.

Minutes of the meeting
Meeting Date: 13 May 2004
Call to Order by: Robert Jenny, FC Time: 1930 HRS
Pledge of Allegiance led by: Vincent Iannuzzelli
New members sworn in and welcomed by the Flotilla: Fred Simmons and Norman Ross
Minutes of April meeting were accepted
Commander Jenny reported on Division Meeting:
Division 10 Meeting was held April 21st 2004.
Team Coordination Training (TCT) April 18th 2004 at the Barge.
Announcements by FC Jenny:
· New mission statements and rosters FSOs, Committee Chairman and Task Leaders are available for handouts.
· Auto facilities - see Don Arseneau
· Spatial Disorientation Training will be conducted in Pensacola FLA until December 2004.
· Next Division 10 meeting is May 19th 2004.
· Submit any corrected or updated data to Rob Silano.
· Marine Safety Courses or Trident Courses - Judi DiMaio
o Intro to Marine Safety
o Good Mate Course
o ICS - Incident Command System
o Hazmat - Hazardous Materials
o Anyone interested in above courses or Trident Program or any other marine program, contact Judi DiMaio.
o All facility owners (boat, aircraft, or radio) must submit one sheet describing the facility with
conventional photograph (color preferred) to Judi DiMaio.

10-20 Membership Increase Award 2003 - 40 to 63 - 1st place
10-20 Operational Hours Increase Award 2003 - 16,762 hours to 21,436 hours - 1st place
VFC - finance report: FN - Bob Ewing
Balance is $5,033.54 - Motion to accept by Henry Uiga, seconded by Vincent Iannuzzelli.
Motion carried.
Flotilla 10-20 received $450 for public education from the New Jersey Medowlands.
The bill for the public education fund was $160.
VFC - Staff Officers Reports:
AN: David Davis - Aids to Navigation form 474 can be downloaded to report damaged
ATNs.
CC: James Roe - reported the Coast Guard Academy had received 175 applications with
115 eligible for the 22 open slots.
In June Keith Walton will be appointed to the US Coast Guard Academy.
CM: Don Arseneau - Judi DiMaio gave report: VEs number 22 thus far for 2004.
CS: Larry West - wants info for the website, June 1st will be the end of the competition.
IS: Rob Siliano - Public Education Staff officer needed.
July 15th is the cutoff date for Marine Safety - Boating Safely Course.
MA: Bob McHugh - report given by James McCumsey
MS: Judi DiMaio - There was a beach clean up at Keansburg beach for International
Coastal Clean-Up Day on April 28th. Flotillas 10-02, 10-04, 10-20 participated and
removed a total of about 1000 pounds of garbage.
Emergency preparedness drill at Westchester County Airport on May 8th
participating from 10-20 were, Henry Uiga, Larry West, Judi DiMaio, and Greg
Marley.
These hours will count toward Marine Safety and Trident hours.
Exercise Design, Saturday, May 15th at Westchester County Airport.
Anyone who has had MS/EP training or classes, contact Judi, also welcome any
suggestions on classes or training that people would like to take.
MV: Sal Cottone - Marine Dealer Visitor needed.
FC: Commanders Report - Bob Jenny
· Committee of Aviation to meet after this meeting.
· Weekend and Safety Patrols - no word yet on afternoon flights.
Calendar of Events:
· Aviation workshop-Republic Airport-May 15th, 2004. Airmen must take this workshop annually.
· District Picnic - June 12th, 2004 at Fahnstock State Park.
· Fleet Week - May 26th, 2004 - June 1st, 2004
· Memorial Day - May 31st, 2004
· Next Division Meeting - May 19th, 2004
A presentation on Uniforms-Proper Wear and Care was given by Bob Button-PF-SO
The June meeting will be a dinner held at the Brownstone, or the 94th Bomb Group,
Members will be notified.
