Flotilla 10-20 Website Help

This page will provide the user with help using the Flotilla 10-20 website. Most of the site is designed to be self-explanatory, but the clean look can sometimes make people miss vital links. I am to explain the most common of these. From this, you can infer that similarly designed items on specific pages will operate in the same manner.

hovering your mouse over any link will cause it to change color. Red is the most commonly used “hover” color, though a yellow is used against the CG Aux Blue banner.

These items should be self-explanatory. Click on the link, and that page will replace the page you are viewing.

Side Navigation Bar

The side navigation bar holds many frequently-accessed links. The Flotilla section is devoted to the other pages of this site. The Division section is for Division 10 information, District for District 1 Southern, and National for the major national sites. The list of links can, and probably will, change over time, as this site changes, and as the needs of our members change.

We also have the Department of Homeland Security Terrorism threat level graphic. This graphic is loaded from the DHS servers whenever you load any page on our site. It will automatically reflect the threat level. Also, clicking on the graphic will bring you to the DHS website with an explanation of the threat warning system.

Footers

The first part of the footer indicated the date the page was last updated, and a link to the webmaster. The “last modified” indicates the date that the particular page you are looking at was last changed. Should you receive an e-mail telling you a page was updated, but this date does not reflect that date or a later date when you access it, re-load the page. In Windows, hold the ‘ALT’ key while clicking the reload icon in your browser to force Internet Explorer to re-load the page.

The second part shows our Privacy Policy. Any updates to the Privacy Policy will be posted on each page. Lastly, on pages with links to websites outside the US Coast Guard, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Department of Homeland Security, there is a disclaimer indicating that the Flotilla 10-20, et. al. has no control over the external sites, their Privacy Policy and Data gathering.
