A U.S. Army Korean War veteran and private pilot, Bob joined the Auxiliary in May 2001, and held the rank of First Pilot, in addition to other Auxiliary qualifications. He served as Commander of Flotilla 10-20 in 2004 and most recently was FSO – Member Training, mentoring new pilots and observers and sharpening skills of the flotilla's more experienced aviators. Bob also held the post of Assistant District Staff Officer-Aviation for a number of years, helping recruit and train Observers, and was recently named a Branch Chief in the National “E” Department where he fielded inquiries from potential Auxiliary members. Bob was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jenny Engineering Corporation of Springfield, NJ, a civil engineering firm that pioneered the use of innovative tunneling techniques for highways, railroads and transit systems. In addition to other major domestic and international projects, Bob's firm was consulted on the undersea crossover cavern in the English Channel Tunnel, and on the construction of the $3 Billion Shanxi Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project, one of the world's largest civil engineering efforts. The viewing and Auxiliary service was held on Wednesday, 27 February at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home in Westfield, NJ.
